Retractable bed cover

Just trying to find out what works good on a long bed. Looking at a Pace Edwards Jack Rabbit retractable to replace the vinyl I currently have. Any thoughts?

Retrax.

Have one on the 05 SuperCrew and had one on my 01 (only pulled it since it was made custom to fit with my toolbox and I wanted to ditch the toolbox).....awesome cover.

I'd second the retrax. I currently have a paragon but will go with a retrax next time.

I have a pace edwards full metal jacket cover on mine currently. I HAD a pace edwards jackrabbit and the vinyl was durable but it faded quickly even with proper care.

I have an 8 ft. Bed and a Weatherguard toolbox. I like the look of the retrax, it souonds like you use have yours mounted with a toolbox. Did you get yours custom made to fit with your toolbox? Any suggestions about where to purchase?

thanks.

You do lose some bed space with the retractable cover due to the compartment where the tonneu goes when rolled up.

I have an Undercover and really like it. Weighs less than 50lbs and can be removed in 30 seconds. Only costs $600 too.

Undercover makes models to work with a toolbox.

I have the retrax with the toolbox application and they do custom make it to your specs. Just contact them at http://www.rolltopcover.com/ by phone, email it takes them a day or two to respond. Pics of mine are in the gallery and my bed is 8ft too, but I have a husky toolbox.

Yeah, I ordered directly from Retrax.
They have you give them a few measurments off of your truck and toolbox and make the cover for those specs.

A woman at RETRAX (Linda I think)told me to go with the Pace Edwards because the retrax was made of Lexan and if it wasn't kept clean it would scratch severly based on my expected use around dirt and dust...my truck sees a lot of use in dusty conditions...she was very nice and honest saying although she would love to sell me their product its finish was easily scratched...I like my Pace but was very impressed with their honest service in listening to my situation and being honest about their product.
