My 65 was originally solid Rangoon Red and when I repainted it I added the Wimbledon White two tone. The hood is white and everything above that bodyline is white with the exception of the back of the cab and the roof, those are the red. Everything below the hood bodyline is red. I believe this to be the correct two-tone paint combination for the exterior, correct me if I am wrong.
The inside is still the Rangoon red and I have not changed that, it is still the original paint. I want to know what the correct combination to paint the inside. Would I paint the dash white since that falls in line with the hood bodyline, and also the frame around the window on the door since that is painted white on the outside? I have tried to look on line for pictures and I have seen several different ways and I would like to try and get it as close to factory as I can.
My truck is an original red/white two tone Custom Cab like you are replicating.
The dash top is red. The lower section and glovebox door are white. However, this may not be the only combination, as it seems I've noted the reverse on some other trucks but don't have any pictures to prove it.
If you want me to take some pictures of mine, I can email them to you. Just PM me.
Dwight, You have an interesting post, because I would have thought that all CCs would have had a black padded dash. You're saying that your's does not?
I have a 66 complete frame off with the red and white colours dash is white back of cab has a white line I cant remember the doors but will check or take a picture and get back with you thanks Paddy o !!!
Check my 65 in my Gallery; I painted my dash black instead of having a $600 repro dash pad. My door & dash is the proper paint style for two tone. The only real difference is my Dash bezel was beyond recongination (Silver finish); so I painted it black. One day I'll beable to afford a good OEM bezel or they will start repro them if not too expenseive. Not a prefect restoration but close to OEM; on my budget..

The tutone is a tricky thing to get the lines right on the money...and of course wasnt an exact thing either...BUT I have never seen a tutone rig on one without the moldings...if it has the moldings, the c/l of the clip holes is where the split is...carries around thru tailgate jamb on bed and in gate jamb itself.
Up front, at the leading edge of the hood side molding slightly before the tip, it goes 90 degrees under the hood to the edge of the underside lip.
Firewall from the main upper seam downward is the primary color(red) the upper is same as upper color.
Rear of cab and roof is relatively easy...top and drip rails are the top color..the split at the rear of the cab is at the upper body line which carries into the doorjamb areato the pinchweld area...its done in a diagonal way to edge of pinchweld as I recall.
Dash color split is at the dash trim location linewhich carries over to the very edge of dash stamping and stops there.
As I recall, on the doors they are all the primary color except on the outside at the split area upward where I believe that color is carried to just under where weatherstripping sits. I also have seen on early trucks the area covered by the CC door panels also being the primary color too when no door panels installed.
