239 Y Block Timing Pointer Location
Ok, where in the heck does the "timing pointer" mount on my 239 Y Block? The engine is ready to fire and it's the only part I haven't put back on cause I can't figure out where it goes. I don't have another engine to look at and the manuals I have are no help. My pointer is curved and looks like it might attach to the bottom of the water pump. But, the pointer has a bolt and there isn't a threaded hole to screw it into. Any description or photos you can send me would be reaaalllly appreciated. Thanks,
