Install was done by PO in St.Louis. The moon/sunroof is a Webasto model Hollandia 700. Really very nice. Two program buttons ( one for popping up the back, one for opening completely) and an instant close button. You can program the two buttons for any position. The install included relocating the console, two 7" LCD screens in the headrests, game console, and 10" drop down LCD screen with map lights and DVD player. Cost was about $2,500.
An overhead light would be an easy do it yourself install. My buddy hated the interior lighting in his trans am (t-tops take away a place for a dome/maplight) it just has the lights in the bottom of the rearview mirror. He went to any junkyard and found a similar colored interior in practically any car and found a domelight he liked the looks of and pulled it down. Just had a couple screws holding it and took a few iunches of wire with it. Screwed it to the headliner after poking a small hole for the wiring and wallah, domelight/map lights depending on what you get form the junkyard. I think they charged him 5/10 bucks for the light. Some junkyards may look at you funny and just let you have it even.
thats the only way you could get those lights back. Wonder what lights you could use the 2nd row lights or the 3rd row lights or maybe another light from another Ford vehicle
Can you tell me who "PO in St. Louis" is that did your install? Did they fabricate the mini-console to hold the AC controls and message center? How did they handle the rear AC controls? Thanks.
but I too fall on the been there, done that side...
had vehicles with moonroofs, sunroofs, (as recent as a 2002 Lincoln LS)
and didn't like the glare nor heat when closed,
and when opened, didn't like the noise, etc....
but to each his own
that's why they sell cars in different colors too

PO = previous owner. Auto Trim Design, St.Louis.
Eliminated the rear AC controls. Still have the rear controls on the front console.
