I am taking out my old 300 and putting a new one in. I have never done an engine swap before. I have a question for anyone that can answer, what are some of the problems that I could run into? Would I need a special tool to hook it up to the belhousing?
Should go right in , stab the trans before trying to let it down on the engine perches. If you have an auto trans remember to remove the torque converter nuts first, and when installing have someone help you guide the torque converter studs into the flexplate.
If you have a manual trans don't forget the pilot bushing that goes into the end of the crankshaft. no speacial tool needed for the bellhousing, just take your time and mate the 2 together, there should be no forcing it, if mated correctly it will be fairly smooth.
good luck
