I have a 1994 F350 and my passenger side mirror housing has been broken for a while but still in tact. Yesterday I was driving on some very rough roads and it finally broke off.
There are 2 torx screws on the outside what else is required to remove this?
Do I need to remove the door panel?
Yeah I believe there's a bolt on the inside of the door panel that secures the mirror to the door. You'll need to remove the door panel to get to it obviously.
I just replaced mine with one from BroncoGraveyard. Nice looking mirror and works good. I tried the jy first, and got one for $25. It was real stiff and didn't want to move. Sprayed with PB blaster and let soak. Next day, I went out and the plastic base and around mirror was cracked and just fell apart. That PB blaster really did the trick on plastic. It's all good now with the new aftermarket one.
