This is my first post on the site and Im not sure if Im in the right area or not but I will give it a try.
I have 2004 f150 Screw lariat. My problem is when you open the doors(any) the interior lights do not come on. They work if I manually turn them on and also my radio does not shut off when I remove the key until the battery save feature shuts it off.On the information center it says auto headlight-data error. I have nno idea whats going on but Ive checked all appropriate fuses I believe. Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
The radio will not shut off until you open the door, even with the key removed. When you open the door the interiors light should come on, then eventually dim out.
Another problem that I believe is related to this is the seat memory does not function either. So radio needs to time out, door chime does not work when door is open, no door ajar indicator, and no interior lights when door is opened. However interior lights do come on when ignition is turned on. I am kind of suspect of this GEM module being defective could anyone tell me where this is located? Thanks

Maybe a door sensor going bad....? I have no idea. Also, I remember Bridge talking about the keyless module behind the rear seat for a remote start a few weeks back. Maybe that has a short to it?
I was finally able to get my truck into the dealership today and they found a bad connection under the backseat/carpet. It was a factory junction in which the wires were completely corroded away. Hope this helps anyone who might have been interested. Thanks
