I would like to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Bob. I have been a member of mustangforums.com for a few years. I have a few thousand posts there and plan to do the same here.
I traded in my 02 gmc 2500hd on an 04 f250 diesel quadcab. (best move I ever made). I know my fisher plow mounts will deffinitley not work on my new truck and I also know the headlight harnesses will not work. Should everything else work?
Where can I buy these parts online at a decent price? And whart year's are the same setup?
Thanks for any help in advance.
The best place to find out what will and wont work is a site called plowsite.comI have a Boss plow so I dont know about a Fisher as far as parts go but over at that stie they have forums by plow manufacturer and a classified section to buy and sell your plowing related items. Its a great site
Well, I'm a cheapskate.
I took the mount and harness from my old '91 Bronco, and adapted it to fit my new F250 last year. A couple of hours of welding took care of the mount. I now have a custom quick disconnect mount.
The wiring harness was modified to plug into the existing trailer wiring harness (with a couple of relays added). The cost of the whole works was about $25.00 + about 4 hours labor.
We didn't get alot of snow last year, but it worked fine on what we had.
