I posted the other day a freind of mine has a 05 F-250 that was intermittently not starting. Well we went out to eat with them last night and I saw first hand, we were at a stop sign and the truck would surge up and down at idle then at two stop lights he could hold it to the floor and no throttle respose for about 15 seconds. We made it to the restrant and after we ate the truck would not start so I went out and wiggled the IPC connector and it fired right up and ran like a champ all the way home.
Is that a fluke or can the ICP cause all those problems?
Thanks
Note he had it in a few months ago for the hpop fitting TSB I think is what they did for the same prob.
I guess it was just the sesor . That is what is on the top of the right valve cover right. I just went there partly out of desperation and partly based on what I had read the night befor on here during a search
i ask because my 03 blew out my ICP sensor on the hwy and i dumpped 2+ gals of oil out before the icp shut off the engine. took the dealer about 3 hours to get to it and change it. it was below the turbo behind the engine
Thank you. It always helps when you can be some what knowlagable when you walk into the stalership even under warrenty. They will atleast have some idea of what is going on when they go tomorrow.
