Took the truck got the current flash for a 03 and so far its good the truck drives better than ever. I plugged the EGR back in and drove down there the truck was acting up I thought I would have to pull over and unplug it. The EGR has been unplugged for 3 weeks now untill today.
Have to see how the new flash does I think I won't have any problems for awhile. Have to see what this does for my fuel mileage.
I also bought a OEM filter to get rid of the stage 1 AFE filter at 101 dollars CND I got the filter
They had a another 6.0 down there and I looked at the air cleaner the OEM parts are the same ones in my truck the AFE housing is the only thing different.
Okay I got the AFE filter out tonight and put the Ford filter in what a wrestling match I have pulled that AFE out once before. Got it out and its going to stay out. I looked at the end that the turbo sucks from and there is some dust streaks around the sealing area so that piece of junk might have been dusting my turbo
be patient about your mileage. it will go down at the beginning, but it should come back up if everythnig is learned properly. there are several strategies that need to be learned within engine and transmission.
I'm not sure when the inductive heating flash came out. You can tell on shutdown though if you have a buzz from the engine compartment you do NOT have the latest flash.
I don't have any buzzing after shutting down the truck. Have to see how it does today going to work. I will see if I notice any noise difference with the removal of the AFE stage 1 intake. I will also check my fuel mileage in 4 days when I pick up fuel.
