I loved my autolite 2150. I removed the choke and miled the choke horn to get a little more air as if the worn stock 360 actually needed more. It was extremely easy to tune and was very resposive. Even in cold weather it ran like a top when it got a little warm.
Ok, so I can't seem to ID the carb on my 390. The tag is gone. It's a 2 barrel, says Morotcraft on the top. It's a manual choke model. I suspect it's a 2100 or 2150. If I were to replace this carb, what 2 barrel would you recommend? I know that a RPM intake and a nice 4 barrel would be nice, but right now, I don't want to spend the money for that setup.
If it has a manual choke its probably a 2100. I may be wrong so dont sell the farm on it. As for a carb that depends on how much money you want to spend.
