Figured I'd take a minute and browse the book. Looks like it's not an issue "I don't think" best to be sure. The book says this is an issue with High Riser and Tunnel Port heads which use 2.25" intake valves. They require a minimum bore of 4.23" and still require the notches. But with any of these FE's and the interchange abilities...double/triple check things before flippin the afterburner switch.

NO i am running 2.09/165 valves on my 418...should not have any trouble. If you need any help just email me. Maybe I can give you alittle help one weekend. Or you can meet me at Temple/Acadamy Track. But surely won't be this year

awesome info guys, yeah i checked the book the other day too about the notches, now that I know someone else is runnin em fine I feel better about it. Gonna call the machine shop tomarrow and see how much they milled off to see if I need different length pushrods ahead of time so I can already have them when I tear down.

Yeah my buddy told me about the ring thing too but if it doesnt have that many miles I dont think it'll be a problem

make that two running them then, cuz Im runnin 2.08 1.65 valves in a 4.08 bore. really, they dont take that much off because you will end up with mating problems with the intake otherwize.
