Stuttering while idle.

Hey guys, I recently just noticed that when im at a stop idling, my 93 Bronco sometimes stutters and shakes the rest of the truck, and then go's back to a regular idle every once in a while.

Anyone have ideas what it may be, it JUST started happening?

Edit: The engine is a 351

Thanks.

Nectar (Kyle) is a buddy of mine so I'll probably be helping him with this. At this point I'm thinking dirty IAC or EGR but I'm 150 miles from him so I can't see/hear/feel it. Second opinions?

I just went through the same ordeal. Best is to start off by pulling the codes on your Bronco and then go from there. Make sure though the car is run to operating condition, otherwise you'll find error messages that don't really apply (EGR might set off, same goes for the ECT).

Mine turned out to be a bad ICM and O2 sensor.

Yeah I figured I'd pull the codes with my reader next time I go down there. Thanks for the suggestions, hadn't given any though to it being the o2 sensor.

You ever figure out what it was? I finally replaced my O2 sensor as well as the ICU. I hope my gas mileage will get better (from 12mph before the repairs)...which I still am in the process to determine.

As to the 'stuttering' at low rpm's ...well, that's still there. At this point, I'm thinking it's either a vacuum leak..or a clogged up injector. I did run sea foam through it before, but it's still there. I might try to do an injector cleaning through the fuel rail at some point.

So, if you figured it out...I'd most certainly be interested in your fix!

His problem went away before I got a chance to go down there and have a look at it. So I guess we're just gonna let it go until it happens again.
