Okay I just got everything back together in my ‘87 BII after changing the flywheel. Now the truck wont start. It turns over well but I’m getting no spark from the coil. I’ve tested the resistance on the coil and it test good. I’ve even tried the coil from my ‘86 -that’s been my daily driver lately- and still didn’t get any spark with it in the ‘87 (when I put it back in the ‘86 it started fine).
So what do I do look at next in the ‘87 to get some spark?
(This truck has been sitting in the garage for about 10 months. It was my daily driver until I had to change the flywheel.)
Boy I feel stupid. As soon as I read your advice ubereal2 I started wondering if I had pluged the ignition module back in (I had unpluged it to get to the trans filler tube bolt and top trans bolt). i went down to the garage to check and sure enough it was loose. I pluged it in and the truck started right up.
Blue Springs Mo???
We just moved from there last October. Lived off of Duncan Rd and 7 Hiway. Now Ozark Mo.............
Glad to hear you got it running.

Ahh... another BS'er (almost from the same neighborhood). I live off Park and 7 Hwy. I hope your enjoying Ozark.
Anyways I took the truck for a drive around the neighborhood yesterday. It drove better than I remembered but still runs like crud. It was kind of like driving a tuck with an old Harley engine in it. Well its running and its just and extra truck now. If my daughter wants a vehicle then I'll put shocks on it and get it running a little better but for now its on to other projects.
I thank everybody here for there help with all my truck problems and questions. You've all been a great help.
