stumbling

I have replaced all of the fuel lines and return lines, o-rings, caps, filter, bypassed the fuel tank selector and installed a Holley Red( bypassing the manual lift pump).

She cranks up and idles fine, I can take her on the highway and with no problems...except one. When I have her up to highway speeds and I let off the go pedal, she stumbles and little until I get to a lower speed and then she smooths out. If I put it in nuetral, it stops stumbling and if I tap the go pedal it stops (sometimes).

I was thinking it might have something to do with the exhaust, like maybe too much back pressure or something but that doesn't make much sense. (it's the O.E exhaust) I checked all the hose fittings eveything is tight and nothing is leaking. Am I drawing in air? Where could it be?

You say you replaced the fuel lines. Did this include the return lines to the tank? I found my problem on my 93 was a fuel return line along the frame.

All of them, from the tank to the motor and back to the tank.

Some of the OEM pumps had plastic governer parts. If this is so, it will have to be replaced.

A heavy dose of solivent type fuel additive might fix the timeing plunger.

Do I have to go inside the IP to get to the govenor? I use ATF everytime I fill her up.

Yes, and you must have a new govener to install. If you find that you have an all metal governer, then that's not your problem.
