I'm pretty sure 75 was the last year that doesn't have to pass smog, everything 76 and up will need to be smogged. Hopefully Franks got a pre-76, its always nice to not have to deal with that stuff...
tewfer, i love different cars and applaude you! Now if it was a matador of that vintage, i would do anything to get it. now post a pic of that ugly thing. hahaha Dan
1975 is the cutoff year for smog, however, just because it does not need to be checked every two years, it still has to have the smog equipment on, and working. Of course, what are the odds of an officer pulling him over and checking his smog legality?
I bet he has the only one in his hometown. Done a lot of work to it too by the looks of it.
I just wanted to let you guys know. If infact I did buy a Pacer. The only thing I would use it for, would be to give my Tomato plants a head start.
This is me, and my baby. I think it would fit right in as a Cali car.

Gee Frank, you're almost normal looking...whod'a thunk it?
And my niece has a Rabbit Cab. that's almost the twin to that one, yours is a bit cleaner though. Hers is a non-running pile...
Don't get me started on German engineering though...I've been fighting with synchronizing the carbs on my Mercedes all day and am about to push the sucker into the lake. Anyone up to a little boating?
