point is I know what you are saying what you are not understanding is that it will not work. that was what I tried to tell him. the system had failed. there was nothing any one could do to fix it. no need to spend any more time with it. just replace it. If he did not replace it then no door locks. I was not going to mix words. Iwas just stating the facts. to save him the time. but I guess the truth is not what people want to hear.

If It was me I would stay away from them I sold 10 units from my warehouse and had to warranty all of them but some people like then. If you are looking at a price of around $2000-2500 for a head unit then eclipes, pioneer, or kenwood makes nice systems with dvd and nav. most people I know have the eclipes.

You are a silly, silly boy.

Grammer.....it is just a courtisy thing.

I like to try to read your post to see if you are hiding anything useful in them. So far, all I get is that you are superior in all ways. Good for you, you ran a shop. That still does not mean you know all there is to know. Have a good day, and try not be all superior like.

It is not about being superior it is only knowing the products you sell.If I have never used it I do not talk out of school about it. If you never try something you will never know if it works or not. you younger people think you got the stuff. clue you don`t.
I learn new things every day. just a hint I passed boy way before 1976. you got a long way to go.

You can still be a silly boy.

Stop assuming that I have never used a product.

Us younger people.....I have been around the block a few times too.

We are just not going to agree on this subject.

I would still rather have the XXX as listed here

Just drop it dude. You are obviously right and I am obviously wrong in your eyes. If you want to continue to talk about it PM me. If you wouldn't attack someones credability before even speaking with them I would probably value your opinion on these topics. I have fixed more "mom and pop" shop work in my time than I can shake a stick at. Just because we arent 50+ years old doesnt mean one thing. I am glad that you have had numerous shops over the 20 years. I worked with a guy in the biz for 20+ years also, and he was the nicest guy I have worked with. Very knowledgable and helpful and tought me a lot of what I know. For future reference, dont bring something up on a person and try and slander their image because you dont understand how they are trying to help someone. I never said to go into the brain and bypass any relays. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

As for the thread. Dual, I AGREE!! with Capital on, they are not very reliable units. Jensen, Dual, Phase Linear, ebay specials, etc... same quality line of product. I personally have Eclipse and think its a great unit. I have had Panasonic and didnt care for it. You can find Eclipse units for under 1500 with DVD/Nav.

we were not a mom & pop shop and no one said you did not know any thing. just stated that the unit was no good you were the one that said I was not helping the
man. I told him what he needed to do with that unit. if he got another unit same type.
installed it his trouble would have been fixed. that was my whole point nothing else.
we all have our own opinion on what we use just like chevy lovers.they do not like Fords. I owned a chevy and I had nothing but trouble. now a chevy lover won`t like that but it is what it is. and all I was saying is what I found to do the best job and make a very good living for me. we all will not agree on things thats life.its what makes the world go round. I have tried different things that you would not think will work.
some did some did not. I would never try to tell some one how to do body work. I know nothing about it. same with construction I do not do that. the only thing I do know is automotive electronics. when thats all you do you get very good at just that one thing. I am sure you can understand that. is electronics what puts food on your table. If not then I am sure you know more about your job then I would.

my old box took up the whole back seat and held 3 12's or 3 15's sounded good, as lond as you didn't need anybody to ride in the back.

now i've had a kid and i had to go down to 2 power acoustik 12's and i'm pushing them with a 2400watt rockford fosgate amp, plenty of good sound still. but it still takes up alot of the backseat
