Any Sound System ideas?
top trophy winning systems today. they also under rate all their products. try learning about a company before you knock them. I have sold some ofthe so called best and alot of people have come in to my store talking about jl,ma,pb,and many other brands
that based on the 20yrs in this business I have found they just do not do the job.they work for a little while then fall flat on their face as stated. kicker, eq, mtx, pioneer, alpine, rockford, eclips, and even top of the line audiobahn have never let any of my customers down and just as a note we have install over 100,000.00 systems over the years and sold alot more products.
You want a touchscreen headunit, new door speakers, 4 12's, sub box, amps, wiring for $1500....
Lets average this out. You want loud... These prices are made up and will be just as a cheap pricing idea. Good stuff will cost more.
$400 headunit
$100 for 4 new door speakers
$400 amps
$150 wiring
$250 subs
$200 sub box for 4 12's
totals $1500...no installation unless you are doing it yourself. You will end up spending more when you have to replace the crap you blow or breaks. Personally I would spend the same amount, get less, it will sound better and last longer.

next to black04 I am sorry but If someone told me to bypass the relays in a bad remote starter., I sure would not take anything they said when it came to anything auto or truck installs to heart. I would fine someone that knows.
now 200proof has the right idea. $1500. is not going to get toylorj661 what he wants
that is a fact. I do not like jl myself ( BUT ) it will work. they do ok. my choice is kicker
or EQ. and Eclipes but you must keep in mind (hard to do for some) I was a dealer for
them for years. everyone likes different things. what works for one may not work for the other.
my customers have come back time after time with their friends for sales and installs of the products I sold. 20yrs of service. I think I know something about it.

I was suggesting different ways to do things, the guy was obviously having a problem. So are you saying relay's never go bad...? Why is it wrong if you are to use external relays vs. internal ones, if the internal ones were bad? I have never done it that way, it was just an idea that came to me as I was trying to help...not telling him that I have access to info but you can't get it. Plus you were just telling the guy his system was junk and missing the whole point of the thread. I have had to replace relays before because they can go bad. The majority of your posts are never helpful. Go back and look at your posts in this and different threads, It seems everytime you post something you are having people disagreeing with you..
. I'm glad you are an installer and own a shop. It doesn't mean you know everything and there is more than one way to skin a cat. Also, if you are going to attack and try to insult someone learn proper grammar and how to spell. So, if I was so wrong to try and help the remote start guy out, why not say something at the time.....or offer another way to fix his issue? I won't try to help anymore due to your superior knowledge of everything 12volt related..

you made the system and can go in and repair it then more power to you. do it.
to many people talk about products they know nothing about. I have tried most all of
them over the years. I know what works what does not. and the faults with all I used
there are also some brands I have never used so I can not say anything about them and I don`t. If it were not for my medical troubles I would still be open for business.
but I still have people come to my home for my input. I never sold junk and I never will
most people buy the cheeper brands and try to say It is as good as the top of the line
but they only need to hear the better products then they understand. sorry if you do
not like my grammer or spelling. I did not know I was in school again and I realy don`t care.
I have stated what I would use depending on what fits. and that may or may not change if I was hands on. If you do not like a brand you do not have to use it.
no matter what I or some one else says. I have always gone outside the box and It has
paid very well.

you win....back to the thread...
