Straight pipe ?

Ok guys,just straight piped my truck.It sounds great !!!
Just one question,i used those band clamps.But one clamp does not seem to hold good,so can i weld it?
Do i have to unhook the batts?

I spot welded every connection in my exhaust just put the ground cable on the tail pipe and you should be ok I didnt disconnect my batteries.

Weld away! My muffler delete pipe is welded in place... wasn't planning to reinstall the muffler any time soon.

No need to disconnect the batts, but I suppose it couldn't hurt.

Yes it is. Weld away. I cut my stock pipe off in peices when I installed my new SS 4".

If its stainless,then i have the Aluminized Exhaust pipe,can they be welded together?
If they can be welded together,what rod will work.

When I had stock exhaust I was able to weld in a delete pipe with a old lincoln 220v buzzbox and a 7018 rod. burned it in one spot then back off the heat and sealed her up.
