When I did mine, I got "Standard" brand boots, $3 each, but that was jobber which is a very steep discount. You might want to try different auto parts stores.
As for quality, the Standard brand boots looked almost exactly like the Ford stock ones did, and were certainly nice and supple. They've been working great for the past 3 years.
