352 carb on a 390

I bought a 390 block from an engine builder and put my 352 parts on it. Was wondering how mismatched my carb is on the new engine. Carb is an autolite 2100A. Stock intake manifold, paper air filter. Was also wondering about that carbs cfm. 66 3/4 ton 4x4 4:56,np-435. Oh, the only engine mod was rv cam and stiffer springs.

You shouldnt have a problem they are the same block although id try to find 390 parts or at least 360 parts the junkyards are full of them and they are cheap. I am pretty sure the carb is a 2 barrel 450 cfm. To make sure check the casting numbers in a book before you pull any parts in a junk yard dont get stuck with insufficient parts.

The Autolite came from the factory on the 390. My 68 came with it.

Scot, you shouldn't notice any difference, the crank, rods and piston size is the only real difference in the two engines.

The Autolite 2V carbs. are pretty much the same for all the FE's, they got the biggest one, flows around 350 cfm.

352 and 360/390 blocks have different bores.
