Wireless Internet, Wireless TV?

If you can have wireless internet and carry your lap top all around the house is it also possible to have wireless TV so you move a TV around the house without having to run a cable?

I often wondered about that myself.

The technology is somewhat in its infancy right now, but it should be coming for the homeowner. The two main barriers right now are bandwidth issues and non-subscribers being able to pick up your signal outside your home. The providers don't like that.

Many years ago, I used to have a system called the rabbit. It was wireless, and you hooked one box to the cable box. The other box attached to any tv In your house.
No cable needed. You could use the remote from the cable box to even switch the stations on the noncabled set. I guess the don't make them anymore.

I can understand that. But I have a wireless router in my house for internet and I don't see many people parked in my driveway using their laptops.

Maybe not, but when my internet at home goes out, I'm parked in my room using my laptop...on somebody's internet connection.
