my luck is great right now, someone hit my truck parked in front of my house last night and ran. Made one long scratch down the side with a crease and a few dents, and shattered my mirror. so I got to talk to the police, and he said a citation is a ticket. but that's all he was helpful with.
there is an address for the Municipal Court printed on the ticket, but he wrote no dollar amount in the provided boxes. nor did he check the box that says it's a ticket I need to pay the written amount. I'll try to see if I can't scan it and blank out my information and put it up here. I'd gladly pay it if someone would tell me who and how much to pay. they didn't even provide the phone number, I had to call information and track someone down. By boss suggested the same thing about writing a registered letter. I'm on a three day weekend, I'll do that and mail it tues.

If you've got the address, call information and ask for that court building (each county seat should have their own court), and specifically ask for 'Clerk Of Court'......THEY have all of the citation information for upcoming cases.....so have the citation number ready and give it to them and they should be able to tell you what the total cost is.....
But definitely ask for the 'Clerk of Court'..........
Write a letter to the court that is listed on there explaining everything and asking for clarification. Send it via certified mail. That way you have it on record that you are trying to figure out what/where/when to pay for this ticket in case you should need to prove it.
Aren't the interstates in NM 75 mph? How fast did he officer cite you for?
I was in AZ last week and I found in the 75 mph zones, most folks were travelling 75. Most of them were passing me - I like to enjoy the scenery at 65 or 70. Although I did take the rented Jeep Commander up to 90 once or twice.
well the speed limit was 70, and I had my cruise control set at 75. Then it dropped to 65 as I got into town and I wasn't paying close enought attention to notice. I was just cruising minding my own buisness. so when he pulled me over I thought I was doing 10 over. But I'd forgotten to account for the fact that my rear tires are slighly larger than stock, so he wrote the ticket for 79 in a 65. so aparently at 75 my speedo is off 4mph.

Ouch. In MA that would be $190 fine if I remember correctly and three points on the license which would cost a good driver a bunch of money in lost safe driver credits. Would end up costing a couple grand over the 5 years until it went off your record.
