Been kind of quiet ladies and gentlemen. Is it the heat? I was going to work on my truck this evening, but it is still 82 and the sun is down. I guess I will wait until the weekend.
How is everybody else doing?
I will start a topic... how hot was it? It was 106 in Vacaville yesterday afternoon. How about your area?
I don't know for sure. I was actually working in the shop today, pulling the engine on my boss's F350 so I could install the new 6.9 turbo diesel I built for it and at one point it was about 101º inside the shop so it was even hotter outside in the sun where the rest of the guys were working. Been roasting all week...I've had enough. Somebody turn the thermostat back down please...
Hey Dan,
The temperature is about right for us to go scrounging for parts. If we are lucky, they will be attached by 18 rusted bolts, surrounded in weeds and in the direct sun. I swear that Lakeport has two type of weather. Cold and rainy or hotter than hades.
I was going to say Ostrich, but I guess Emu works. It is supposed to be 102 today, but I work in an air conditioned office so what do I care?
It has been too hot to work on my vehicles, the Buick still needs an alternator, the truck is running (Thanks again Mike) but I want to start sprucing her up some before I show her off in November (Pleasanton).
Crickets eh? Didn't Plymouth make Crickets? Or actually, I think they were made by Mitsubishi and sold by Plymouth.
Officially 106, is 108 on my thermometer. All I can say is that this s___s.
It is hard to breathe, and I get a dry hack that keeps me awake. All the weather channel says is that the air is "unhealthy" - - - - I am ready to head for the coast and spend a few days in the cool! I think the kids will be in school so there should be room.
