Hey ya'll. I got a recall notice on my 1993 F350 today..for the cruise control harness under the hood. Ford is going to install a new fused harness.

Just found that to be pretty unusual, given the age of the truck, and was wondering how many others of you have been tracked down for the same thing, or let those of you with cruise control who didn't get a notice know.

Well that will teach me to scroll down more careful before I post.. Never mind, Its been done before.

 

......just a word of a "notice" received or not = i have a 96'F150 XLT 4x4 w/5.8L eng and NEVER received any such notice of this or any of the recall's calling for this vehicle..........on my own prior to going to the dealer for a part, i took it on my own to call up the "Service Dept" and they told me they were never notified about's me being the Newer Owner since 1999 when I bought the trk>>>> .......so they did just that update for then when i called and told me about's THAT particular recall needed to be taken care of ASAP.......When i did show up there like an hour later, they took my truck and i went over to the part'sdept and gotten a hold of my part and returned, only to come find out it was going to be another 20 minutes......... ........IF they had my truck for another 30 minutes, I SWEAR, , I would have boughtened myself a Brand Spankin NEW MUSTANG GT..... .....thank GOD they came over and let me know my trk was done and was outside awaiting ........... ......... . . . . . oh, well; another day i guess..........BUT as for the recall they show'd me the NEW>>> section of the wiring harness leading to the Cruise Control which was changed & updated..........[ you can tell, for it has a "Blue" tag on the harness ]........just thought i'd point this out and all..............
