Thanks Kris! What intake?

I'd like to thank Kris for checking out the newish at this point truck or at least new to me as they say.

Other then the leak on the Turbo everything checked out fine (Still waiting on the oil analisys to come back). Kris fixed a few minor things and checked everything over good.

The one thing he was concerned about was the stock air intake. The truck is filthy (My project for Labor day is to clean under the hood)

He suggusts moving away from the stock intake sooner rather then latter so the question is what do people suggust taking into account that I want the truck quieter not louder?

That one is a no-brainer...the quietest and best filtration is AIS.

I also recommend that. Let me go get the camera and upload some pics. I was so rushed this evening i forgot to show you..

EDIT- here...

I'd also recommend the CCV mod as well. Prevent that tube on the right from happening again!

Holy Crap at the dirt! SOONER!!!!! Don't wait! The AIS or the 6637 are the top choices for awsome filtration.

That is one dirty looking intake tube. Yikes.

I second the AIS, it keeps the inside of the intake tube "white glove" clean.

Well dirt is the first impression when looking at the truck. Thankfully most everything appears to be working in spite of the dirt.

AIS OK I'll look into that and the CV mod I'll check on as well. Not having engine or transmission issues that need more immediate attention will free up a few dollars to start on that with.

For the money, I would go with the AIS intake. It also makes the access to the driver side battery very good. Make sure you align the intake at the bulkhead in front by the radiator mount, then cut an opening through it to allow the intake to breath and draw in outside air. Otherwise you will see the blocked filter indicator pop on. This is what they call the ZOODAD mod.
