428 info

I have a 428 engine with these block (C6ME-A) and head (C6AE) numbers. I'm pretty sure this a regular 428 not a PI or CJ. What I need is a picture of the correct harmonic balancer. I have been told a 390 one will work and I have been told I need the little spacer sleeve with the weight on it. Anybody got a spare? TIA

I don't think a 390 balancer will work. Techanicly it should, but a 428 or 410 balancer would be better options. IMHO

the balancer spacer with the weight on it goes to a 428 scj and only the scj model. the other 428's use a counter weighted flywheel/flexplate. i tried to read between the lines of the info book i have and near as i can tell the 428's use a zero balance balancer with a weighted flywheel. somebody else will chime in if iam wrong

360/390 and regular 428 balancers are the same, go for it.
