Remember Richard Jewel?

He's the security guard who found the bomb, and was also linked to the 1996 Olympic bombing.

He died from kidney failure.

Just thought I'd mention it, since he deserves an honorable mention.

If nothing else, he taught me to not trust the media or the FBI.

He had a rough time for awhile. The news media tried to do him in. He sued a few news outlets, and won.

Let's not forget that he (may have) saved a few lives.

Exactly.

I don't recall. . . did he ever get that 'apology' from anyone???

Personally, I think it stinks that someone/anyone can be convicted and sentenced (for the lack of a better term) by public opinion. Especially, when that person is innocent.

(I won't even go into the 'innocent until proven guilty' stuff. . . . .)

May Richard Jewell Rest In Peace.

Oooops......

The problem with mainstream media as a whole is that in their haste to be the first to break a story and take the credit for it they forget one little thing.............

the truth.........

and they will claim to just be reporting the "facts".........

just not all the facts..........

There are 2 sides to every story............

The truth.........

and what the media tells us.........

I like to call it "sensationalist journalism".........

I remember watching a live feed on cnn, the FBI was in the poor guys apartment looking for evidence, I think his mother was there too. The media was in the parking lot, Richard Jewel was hiding in the stairwell. it must have been a nightmare for him.

God forbid, this low life policeman saved a few lives! I just cannot comment further!

But I will, The mainstrem news media, needs kicked off the airwaves. They are one sided, and wrong most of the time. They are the media that will lead to the destruction of the United States.

My Son, serves as I speak in al-anbar. People who say we are losers in Iraq, serve to kill my son! keep it up. Idiots!

Our military are saving your and my lives. Wake up!

Smokestone52, I was in Vietnam, in 1969. I know what you mean when you say that the media is trying to kill your son. No support from the main stream media. Good luck to your son. I support the troops, and I am glad they serve to protect our freedom.
