And employee left lights on (8 hrs).So dead battery . Jump an would run 5 minute . Tach and odom and guages would shut down then motor . I figured it was really dead so I swapped another bat in. Ran around town for 45 mInute (erands and to see if OK )Was fine showed charge .
20 miles into trip home the ABS light would come on with the push of brakes. The the tach was working backwards . Then odom and tach quit but other guages worked .Alt showed discharge.
Also the guage cluster was in for 200-300 miles on problem (I thought I should say this) .But I took it from 2-18-05 truck my self . I know the years differ 92-93 94-95 96-97. But it worked great . And most posts speak of next day problems not 2 weeks.
You think I fried alt/reg or what . I have extra rebuilt ones and alot of other parts But I'm pushed for time now.
But any help will be greatfull for any input. .
The truck is a 94 F150 302 MAF (factory) e4od 4x4 thanks
well I put in are build alt I had . The other was noisy anyway. Started and worked find . Half must have been regulator. I was checking all wire conections and the firewall was loose ,really loose. I tighten up and tach and alt worked.Funny no problems to begin with
Other than lights left on. ,
