Fuel selector

I have been chasing down a wierd fuel delivery problem for the last few days and I am wondering if it is possible for the fuel selector to be clogged. The truck, 89 f150 302, will run for about ten seconds and then the fuel pressure will slowly drop to zero. I have replaced the fuel filter and the fuel pump on the frame rail and it still runs the same. I have checked all the fuel lines and they are all clear and I have also dropped the tank and the screen on the pump is clear. I am also getting a steady 12.5-13 volts at the pump even when it is not putting out full pressure. The only thing I havent checked is the fuel selector. Is it possible to bypass the selector since I only use my front tank anyway, or does the selector do something else other than swith tanks?

Thanks

Yes does, it also acts as a fuel reservoir.
You can take a fuel reservoir off a single tank Ford and your lines will snap on to the single fuel reservoir. Then just leave your selector on the tank you are using.
