My dash lights stopped working tonight. Odd thing is, at one point when I flashed my high beams they came back on for a bit. Turn signals flash, high beam indicator does not work. All gauges read fine. Bad switch? Can't image the ground being bad with all else working.
fuse good? mine keeps taking fuses out, I'm going to have to tear into my dash sometime and look for the short, for now I just drive with no speedo in the dark, rest of my gauges are aftermarket and fuel gauge don't work anyway
I put LED bulbs in it a few weeks ago. Also, I noticed when I changed to high or low beams the turn signal indicators will quickly flash during the change in beams.
Well, I found the problem. The fuse was blown but there's more to it.
Yesterday I hooked my cb radio back up. I put the power wire on a switched source so I don't accidentally leave it on and run my battery down. Well, turns out the cb has gone bad. I brought it inside tonight and cracked it open to check it out. After I did a bit of work I carried it back outside and connected it. When I turned on the cb, the dash lights came on! I have no idea how this could happen but I'll just run a power wire to the battery and connect it with a relay. That and get a new cb radio.
Thanks for the help!
