I have 3.08's but I think I run about 1900 or 1800 RPMs at 70mph. Pretty cool! And I run about 1600 or something like that around 60. Something really low, I can't remember. I love these motors! I run about 2100, 2200 at 80. LOVE IT.

Used to have an 84 f-150 carburated and got about 11-12mpg w/ lift and 35" tires and stock 3.08s.
now its an 87 fuel injected with same lift and tires i get around 17-18mpg
cant beat the old 300's.

What you say reminds me that I surely need a tuneup. Stock ride, short tires, 3.08's and I think I best at 16 MPG hwy. =/ I would like to get 18 at least!
(On a side note, I do run at about 80 MPH and I'm not easy on the motor like I should be. I often bottom out the speedo, so maybe that has a little to do with it.)
