dumb xcal2 question, please help

Just got my xcal2 today, got the strategy code thanks to you guys on here, emailed Matt..... now, how do I take the tune from email to the xcal2? I see a couple of extra "plugs" on it, but it came with no cable to attach. Is that normal? Do I need to get a USB cable that will fit the tuner?

thanks for the help. frustrated I may be waiting longer now to get this thing in the works.

Trevor

You'll need a USB cable for a printer (square end for SCT and rectangle end for computer with anything except Windows Vista (SCT Software won't work on Vista). Download the latest software on SCT's website here: http://www.sctflash.com/download.php (Liveload 3). Then you can rename each tune if you wish and load all 3 favs into your SCT. When you go to load them into your trucks ECM, just hit the select button, scroll to load a tune and select one then have fun!

Short answer: Yes you need a usb cable to go from your computer to the XCalII.

Once you have that cable make sure you've loaded the LiveLoad software from the CD that came with the XCalII. If you did not receive the CD the S/W is downloadable from sctflash.com Put the files from Matt somewhere where you know where they are and follow the instructions in the LiveLoad S/W.

Good Luck
