Next question.... for those with straight pipes or stacks, how many rush to get out of the truck after shut down just to hear the turbo wind down out of the pipes?
Ill start. 1
Now a question for yall. when you get onto the freeway or pass by some sort of large walll do you hammer down so you can hear the echo of the exhaust. Cause i know i do.
All the time. I get a chubby every time I hear that roar.

Not to hijack but since we are all braggin on our trucks.....I just got back from having the state inspection done on mine. As the young man that did the inspection was handing me the keys he says to "It wouldn't happen to be for sale would it?". I just smiled and told him "No, it sure isn't, sorry".
Yeah, I had a case of the puffy chest as I was driving out. I even rolled a little smoke as I pulled out onto the street.
Three here. I jump out and run back by the stack and put my ear up to it, my girlfriend takes her time, gets out and walks all the way around the truck, grabs me by my arm, shuts my door and says "lets go." I say "wait, it's still spooling down."
if im feelin good i will pop the hood with the lever, then shut the truck down and hang my head between the door, and the body and listen to that turbo despool.
Tow the 5th wheel. I don't drive it every day, too big.
Too big ? your killing me Dan, just plain killing me Too big?
It's like to much money, there's no such thing, a girl too pretty, a car too fast there's no such thing, to quote a country bumpkin singer that I enjoy!!
i enjoy idlein down a crowded main street at about 900 rpms. you know that spot were the turbo just sings off of everything. but the best is pullin out of the shop after work and leaving a big ol smoke cloud for my cummins drivin co-workers to drive threw.

Yeah, it's too big to drive every day.
Where I live the streets are WWII vintage skinny little lanes in N. Seattle and VERY crowded. It's just easier to get around in a smaller vehicle. Hence my little Diesel Rabbit. My house is on a 75x140 lot and there is JUST enough room to get the trailer parked between the house and the fence. If it was 6 inches any longer I would not be able to park the thing in my driveway. Seriously.
I have never had a more reliable, comfortable, fun vehicle in my life. My firey red head will be with me for a looooooong time.
p.s. my wife (blonde) hates it when I call my truck that.
You realize of course, that makes her a Testa Rosa right?
