Diane, when are you going to figure out the DP for the new sensor? AFAIK, it is now in fact a replacement as opposed to a substitute. They said they would not sell the old ones anymore. International still sells them but won't switch. Ford used to buy them from International and sell them rebagged. So, it would be nice to know if this new sensor is going to change things, tuning wise or not.
Is there any way i can mount the switch on the left side of the bottom gauge? I was looking at mine tonight and i'd like it alot more there. I don't see a reason why it wouldn't be possible but i havent seen the mount without the switch in it.
Here's mine on the Left side Kris. I accidentally put the mount in upside down, it was a PIA to get the wiring un hooked the first time so I have very little desire to do it again. Maybe if I'm in there for something else then I will do it.
Kris, I believe it is flat and reversible so you could have it at a 90 degree position on either side. If you have more questions about them ask Dennis from ITP. Apparently he had those made for DP.
How do you get the wire from the pillar to the F5 switch? Do you have to drill through the pillar or is there a space where the connector fits through to the switch?
I ran mine up in front of the pillar and plugged it in the back. It pushes right through the little foam gasket that the a pillar seals to at the dash. From the description it sounds like it might look bad, bud it hugs the pillar tightly and looks fine, IMHO. I'll seee if Ihave a good pic and post it.
