take a wire from positive to the horn wire . It should honk. Or remove and try then . If no work they do rust up. you can blaster the inside and hope it lets loose . Or find buy a new/used set.
If works start with fuses . I have had to replace a center steering wheel pad on one truck it just wouldn't activate the horn
Did your fender bender happen to be around the front driver side corner? Since this is where the horns are located, they or the wiring could've been damaged. Each horn (high tone and low tone, single terminal) is about $17 at Auto Zone.
Just an update. Both horns slightly beeped. more like burped, when I hooked them to the battery. Also the fuse is good. Should I hook up my meter to the ends of the plugs to see if I get voltage?
sound Like they are on way out . As said you can spray with penetrating oil and may loosen up. If you can find a set . Most auto parts have multi use ones. Pmme I may have a set
Ok, then I'd say there's some kind of electrical issue between the horn button and the relay, either the button itself, the relay, or the wiring between the two.
I'm not sure what voltage the lines should carry but I have a feeling you can disconnect the relay and test the wires coming in for current. Maybe someone will post a well timed electrical diagram for you.
Relay is fine. I put one of the other ones in it and still no clicking. Could it be the metal wheel in the steering shaft with the spring on it? Not sure what it does but theres nothing touching the wheel with all the holes in it.
