6.0 compression
6.0 compression
hello all,
I have a question, that hopefully someone can answer.
What are the compression specs in an 04 6.0?
I know the ratio is 18:1 but I guess what im looking for is PSI specs.
I measured compression in the 6.0 and found between 250 and 300 PSI
It seems very low to me,but I need to make sure.
This engine has long crank, runs rough at start up and once it warms up.It has no low end power.
I found dust inside intercooler tubes, quite a bit of dust actually and need to make a decision as to weather to replace engine or not.
thanks guys.

That is true on cummins engines but I wasnt sure if the PSD was the same.
He said that at 250 compression was way low and would cause some of the concerns listed.
thanks for the reply,Ill keep that in mind.
