Banks Power Pack ?

I am new here and this is my first post, I have an 05 DRW Supercrew 4X4 auto 6.0 diesel and am thinking of adding the Banks Power pack for more towing power. This is my first diesel pickup and am wondering what you all think of Banks products.

Thanks for any help

I think the biggest consensus here is that most of the Banks stuff is overpriced. Look at SCT for a tuner and a company like MBRP for the exhaust.

Yep Banks stuff is good quality, but it is overpriced.

A majority of 6.0L owners will tell you to get an SCT and have it programmed by someone like Matt at Spartan. That is what i'm doing and my MBRP exhaust should be here any day.

I bought the Banks Big Hoss bundle last year and thought is was the schiznit at the time....It does have great power...but not the greatest...Also, it is pretty expensive. The number one downfall of the Banks tuners is that they do NOT do anything to improve transmission shifting. They merely rely on the Trans to relearn and adjust to the higher power levels....It does adjust slightly, but not nearly enough. Also, every time you lower the power level back down....and drive it for a while, the trans "de-learns" and shift soft towards the stock shifting. Banks helps to avoid the melting of the clutches by having the tuner defuel before and during the trans shifting.
All of this adds to shortened trans life, decreased performance and SLOPPPY shifting.
Looks like the new kit comes with a air filter which was not offered when I got my Banks stuff, which I am sure it works well, Folks agree that it is not needed.
I like my PDA for gauges, and that's it. My SCT gives me Amazing power along with shifting to go along with it.

Trade-offs.......On the fly power level changes and crappy trans shifting with the Banks tuner
or...
Flash programmer that has only one tune per flash but is infinitely customizable and has the ability to shift that trans like a hot rod, which if done right will extend the life of the trans....Oh yeah...that dang EGR can be turned off....~Brad
