sensor and tube are new...feel and see no leaks by manifold; CAN feel exhaust coming from top of tube with sensor removed; so all is hooked up correctly here. where do i start with this though? as far as diagnosing or workin on it. i watched today as it was "on and off on and off" and the little valve WAS moving by the turbine housing back and forth back and forth. hit brake or gas and still contines; LESSENS but continues. then i drive and dont notice anything (or truck noise overrides it) and is gone after i reach my destination; im almost just temped to unplug the damn solenoid at the turbo pedestal. could this hurt fuel milage though with this being in-operative?? i mean obviously warming up it would be altering; but as far as driving, making boost, etc. will fuel milage be hurt if it's just unplugged?

i guess what im tryin to get at here is does this affect or have anything to do wiht my wastegate operation if i unplug the solenoid?

With that sort of odd behaviour I would unplug it forever.
Unplug the solinoid and it will default open 100%.
It can later on be utilized as an exhaust brake or you can gut the innards if you so desire, but thats another thread.
For sure, disconnect that thing from computer control and leave it off forever with it acting like that.
It will in no way affect your wastegate performance.

Go ahead and unplug it and be done. The only time you really need it is in VERY cold weather.

I agree 100%...

You can also buy a fooler to plug into the solenoid wire so that you don't get a SES light, I'm not certain that a code for the pedestal being unplugged will actually affect fueling, etc.... I put the fooler on my after swapping pedestals.

would unplugging this sensor at the pedestal (i mean solenoid) totally defeat the purpose of me spending the 80 bucks and installing the new ebps tube and sensor in the front of the engine? or does computer controll read this sensor and make changes to things to help fuel milage? is this sensor and the warm up valve even in relation with each other?

No, the PCM uses the EBPS to determine change the fuel mapping and such, thats what ive read. My truck seems to run better with a new sensor and tube.
