new starter installed...went to crank and nothing....battery was dead?!?!(yellowtop optima) hooked up jumper cables and the truck started cranking on its own with the key in my pocket!! Lord help me please

Problem with starter circuit.

Verify these connections.

ALL FIXED...The starter was bad...it was drawing to much amperage and fryin the relay first thing...
Thanks for everyones help... Now i am moving on to getting the transmission to go into a gear right
