Door ajar
I have an 02 f250, powerstroke, crewcab, 4x4. This thing is about to drive me nuts. After I start it and drive away, the door ajar light comes on, the chimer is going off. And the dome light goes on and off. All doors are closed, but it'll continue to do this. Just on and off constantly. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Jim

It's a common problem but you're in luck, it is easily fixed. Take some WD-40 or something similar and lube up the latch mechanisms for the doors (all of them) and this should stop that from happening. Mine was just doing it a week ago and I fixed it this way. My '99 also used to do this sometimes and the WD-40 always did the trick.
