I pulled my self without to much grief. What seemed to be a most daunting task turned out to be not so bad. before attemping this on my 04 I read alot, here and manuals OE and Haynes/chilton. I purchased a new 40-200" pound, 11inch Torque wrench. A set of 3/8ths exstentions 1,3,6,.
I found the new clicker inch pound wrench alot more user friendly than my old bar type thats about 15 1/2" or so long and several years old, and it never hurts to have more shiny exstentions around. I used alot of different combos of exstentions and was able to not take any thing apart other than the work at hand. Neat stuff.
The only real heads up I would add to things is just how important it is, to have an air exstention for forced air cleaning around the plugs before removal. I created mine from plastic and rubber hose to reach down deep into the pockets. Not a real field job with the kind of exstensive need I found with my rig. Dust, sand , small items came out of all 10 holes at 50 psi or so. The first hole I blasted with a hose end at close range from many angles and times and to my dismay the pocket still held to much dust, in about 10 degrees of the chamber bottom . I found a thread after doing the work that showed a less flexable yet just as well thought , copper tubing air attachment for his blower tool. Cop boots I didn't have on hand,but will in about 30,000. Does anyone have COP, boot or Transfer spring prt#rs . A couple of my boots have small cracks starting.
At 59,000 miles, My boots didnt want much to do with letting go of the plugs. The spairing use of dielectric grease at the origanal install seemed to be the culprit,and caused two boots to pull off COPs during removal. Although abit un nerving , both boots did go back on after cleaning.
Thanks for all the insight. Without the heads up Ive gotten here, I might have not changed the plugs till the far out, 100,000 recomended service. Yikes. .062 gap on several already.

?It was a good post for all. I now clean out around any spark plug before pulling (including lawn mower).

Ya know I don't know how many rep points you gotta have to get that second square. The rep point thing is kinda complicated. I'm not sure how the whole point system works. Some people who give rep points don't get them to "count" towards a person because they (the one giving the points) may not have enough posts. It's all very, overly complicated...
