If you have roadside assistance, why not use it?
As you get a little older and a little wiser you understand that sometimes the best plan is to let someone else do the dirty work, be it changing a tire or digging a ditch.
Also, you'd be popping a blood vessel if you had a tire fail like this at 1500 miles. Why do you think the OP should "get over it"?
