Are you trying to protect it or just make it look better?...

A little bit of both, plus I was thinking of putting it on the top of my rear bumper as well as the bottom of the doors.
Thanks!

Ok the duplicolor becomes brittle with only a short time of application. If you can find it Herculiner is a roll on that lasts a long time looks real nice and is better at non-slip. It actially has shredded rubber in it. Tractor Supply carries it or Stylin Concepts.com that I know of. I have used both and definitely Herculiner is more expensive but cheaper because you will use it once compared to duplicolor. My 2 Pennies.

Another thing to consider is the Dulpicolor spray-on bed liner($10 a can). I've been using it to cover our copper ground bars on cell towers at work to reduce theft. That stuff goes on pretty thick.

I'd have a Line-X sprayed in if I were you. I have seen too many of the DIY jobs peel up. Even the guys that followed the directions to the "T". I haul rock, mulch and everything in between and the Line-X is just one tuff coating. They even sprayed the inside of the Pentagon with the stuff. Line-X it and you can forget about it. Just my opinion though. I'm sure there are many who will swear by the DIY roll on jobs.
