hard starting when hot is gone
I would like to post this to you as I am very happy that the problem of hard starting when hot was solved,,,
here is the story:I had a hard starting when my 300 I-6 is hot ( starts fine when cold), one day I was cruising the highway (going to truck show at Tife city, Saudia Arabia) when the engine starts cutting like no fuel is there, some times quits and starts again when let go on gas pedal, after 15 minuits of struggling the engine quits, several minuits later it starts and idles fine, it cuts or quits when start to move ( pressing on gas pedal). Toed the truck with the help of my son and our 2007 Tahoe, left the truck couple of days at the show, start it again and went back home 35 miles, the truck was just fine, next day morning ( 07 Aug 07 ) I replaced the fuel pump and carb float needle assy, start the truck and it runs great, also it starts very smooth when hot ( at 110F ), it even accelerate better.
I thought that exhaust control valve I removed earlier was the main cause of hard starting when hot due to fuel vapor lock, I will not put a new valve if the truck keep it performance. Thanks for your time and I appreciate any reply.

May I suggest that you check the main grounds and the ground wires. You may have built up a lot of resistance in the big ground wire, which is not at all unusual.
