Hey guys. Well, the fold down seat/console in my 2000 Super Duty is toast. I actually bought it like this, and I haven't been able to replace it. The vinyl is cracked to nothing, and the plastic hinge is broke, so when somebody lifts it up to sit in the middle, all my crap ends up on the floor in the back! It looks terrible, and takes away the pride I have owning my truck. I only want the exact same console as what I currently have, which is a plain gray cloth fold down. I know other years will fit, but I'd rather stick with what's original. They're never on Ebay, and just the fold down piece with the lid (not the actually seat) is around $400 at a dealer . I've searched junkyards everywhere, and even across the country over the web. I don't want aftermarket either. I'm one of those guys who believes that you shouldn't fix it unless it's broken. I like things totally factory for the most part. Does anybody know where I could possibly find a '00 console for my truck without breaking the bank? I'm losing my mind!!
It's been a while since I lost my 99, but I want to say that the hinge and door can be replaced seperate from the rest of the seat back can't it? I would think that would be cheaper than replacing the whole thing. As far as replacing the vinyl, I would think a good upholstery shop could do that pretty cheap.

Nah, I went to the dealer a while ago, and it's sold as one entire piece. An upholstery shop could do the vinyl, but the hinge is still toast.
