Building a pulling truck chassis
First of all I was wondering if there was any difference between an F-150 frame and F-250 in the 70's, I currently have 2 F-150 frames(4x4) and a 67 F-250(2wd), just wondering if I should bolt the front axle under the 2wd and go w/ that? Also, what better, the full floater under the F-250 or the ford 9 in. I have 2 of each, somebody that used to pull said they snapped a lot of axles in the 3/4 ton axle, but I don't know that the 9" would be much better, or a better question is whats cheaper to get performance axles for? I know there's a lot of 9 in. stuff out there, butdo they make a bigger better set for the 3/4 ton? thanks

Just an educated guess, but I'd say the F150/F250 frame would be the same. I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.
As far as the rear end goes, I think it all comes down to how it's built. If the right axles are used, I would think a full floater would be easier to maintain.
Then again, I could be wrong on both accounts.
