Overhauled 400-Upgrades?
Ive got a 400 in a parts truck that was overhauled not many miles ago by the previous owner. The work done includes new rings, bearings and gaskets. No machine work as it had 130k miles and apparently all the tolerences were good. Im about to pull it out and swap it into a different truck and figured while I was at it Id throw in an extreme 4x4 cam from Comp Cams. I dont know if they replaced the timing chain so I was wondering if a straight up timing setup is available for the 400? And should I change out the pistons to get a little better compression? I got a propane setup from the PO and Ive got headers from another parts truck for it.
