how or why? you only have one turbo?, oh wait i got it, run dual turbos, 1 per bank instead of inline then run dual 4's into 8 inch stacks.....i like it
right but the stock downpipe isnt anywhere close to that, the 3 is all that fits without major work, a 3.5 or 4 fits but major firewall modding is required, even most 3 inchers require the firewall lip to be rolled out of the way for install
the stock DP is a mushed 3" pipe. I would say go with a Tymar DP as well. I have a custom 3.5" dp. A 4" DP would recquire some serious firewall smashing to clear it, not to mention it probably rattles on the tranny when in reverse, lol cause I know mine does. There's not much room for big DP in these trucks which is why Ford engineers decided to go with the crunched 3" DP rather then a true 3" pipe. Good luck
i rode in one over the weekend with a 4 inch sd downpipe and it didnt rattle at all, he made a tunnel for it to run down rather then bang the firewall in but you cant tell from inside the truck, under the hood it is cramped though, i thought the 3 inch was tight!
