I Have 04 F-250 6.0 L Ps. I Was Driving Along And Seen White Smoke Coming Out My Exh. I Towed It In To The Dealer... They Checked And They Found Egr. Cooler And They Say The Head Gaskits Where Leaking To... When They Put My Truck Back Together Will They Put Updated Parts In It Or Should I Say Do They Have Up Dated Parts For It... Thanks
I believe they use an upgraded headgasket from the 03-04 style, you don't have to ask for it because it's the standard replacement now.
One thing to ask about is if they would install aftermarket headstuds which is the best way to solve future blown headgaskets. Some dealers will and others say "no way" because it not a Ford part.
IIRC there was an issue with the headbolts not being correctly torqued coming out of the factory too.
when they do the warranty work, they will use a better head gasket, and correctly torque the headbolts, but like greg said, see if they will install ARP head studs for you while they are doing it, if you pay for the studs.
some dealers will, some won't
Got My Truck Back Last Week After 4 Weeks They Had To Put New Heads On It They Where Warped And New Egr Cooler...i Asked Them To Put After Market Head Bolts In It But They Would Not Do It.. Do Any One Thing I Will Have Head Gaskits Blow Agin???

I will tell you right now that your head gaskets did not fail due to a stock issue and you local dealer did not know that you have a superchips did they?? My neighbor had that same tuner and we had to do head gaskets on it too after 4K after he tuned it..get rid of that and get and SCT..just to let you know you are lucky they did not figure out you have a flash tuner or your would be paying for all the engine work form now on and will void you diesel warranty.... seriously ford is not taking this lightly we have a bulliten that states we have to report aftermarket parts if thought to be a cause of concern.. yes they will leak again if you do not change that fueling box
My truck is at the dealership right now having the headgaskets replaced. Apparently they've been leaking since the day I bought it. Shortly after I bought it another dealership replaced the turbo (was rusted badly and sticking), EGR valve, and failed to notice that the head gaskets were leaking. So I found a new dealership that is awesome. The service manager called me up w/ the news and actually offered to put in ARP head studs. Turns out the diesel mechanic happened to remove a set from an engine that blew up and was going back to ford. They were in perfect condition. He sold em to me for $300 and will be installing them for the $100 warranty deductible.

Riggs, what dealership are you using now? I haven't had anything major go wrong yet, but while changing the oil last night, I found two oil leaks (one dripping on the front drive shaft, the other is running down the starter). It looks like I'll have to take it in soon.

WHAT IS A FUELING BOX? AND WHY IS THE SCT BETTER THEN SUPERCHIP?

ummm... wrong again my friend....
there are NUMEROUS incidences of head gasket failure on STOCK vehicles that have never been modded or had a tuner. THIS IS A FACT.
early models such as 03-04 even had TSB due to incorrect torque values when the engines were assembled by the robots at the factory.
this has all been documented. please dont make statements that are totally false it makes you look bad because there are way too many people here that know way more than you do about these motors.
